Why use Bricks Builder instead of other page builders?
Bricks Builder outputs cleaner code than older page builders like Elementor or Divi, with less CSS and JavaScript bloat that harms performance. It supports full visual design flexibility without the overhead. For developers working on custom themes, it’s significantly faster to work with than classic PHP theme development while still producing maintainable, performant output.
Do I need to use WordPress, or can you build on another platform?
WordPress is my primary platform and what I’d recommend for most service businesses — it’s flexible, well-supported, and gives you full control over your content and structure. I also build static HTML sites when the use case calls for it (simpler sites with no CMS requirements). I don’t build on Shopify, Wix, or Squarespace — those platforms have significant limitations for the kind of custom, performance-optimised sites I specialise in.
Can you take over an existing WordPress site?
Yes. Whether you need a redesign, a performance overhaul, or ongoing development work on an existing WordPress site, I can take it on. I’ll review the current setup first and let you know if there are any issues — legacy plugins, insecure code, or theme conflicts — that should be addressed as part of the handover.
Will I be able to update the site myself after it's built?
Yes. I build sites so clients can update content — pages, posts, service descriptions — without needing to involve a developer. For Bricks-built pages, I provide guidance on how to use the builder for common updates. More complex structural changes will still require development time, but day-to-day content management is designed to be self-serve.
Do you offer hosting and maintenance?
I can advise on hosting and help you set up with a suitable provider (I recommend LiteSpeed-based hosts for the cache and performance benefits).
