Measure every action that matters
Google Analytics 4 & Google Ads conversion tracking
GA4 is significantly more complex to configure correctly than Universal Analytics. I set up GA4 with custom event tracking for all your key conversion actions — form submissions, phone clicks, WhatsApp links, file downloads, scroll depth, and more — and link it to your Google Ads account so every campaign conversion is attributed accurately. I also configure GA4 audiences for remarketing and set up custom reports for the metrics you actually need.

Accurate Meta data despite iOS restrictions
Meta Pixel & Conversions API (CAPI)
The standard Meta Pixel misses a significant portion of conversions due to iOS privacy restrictions and ad blockers. I implement the Meta Conversions API (CAPI) server-side alongside the Pixel, deduplicating events to give Meta’s algorithm accurate signal data. This improves campaign optimisation, reduces cost per lead, and gives you more reliable reporting. I handle the WordPress-side implementation via Fluent Forms and custom PHP hooks.

One tag container, full consent compliance
Google Tag Manager setup & GDPR compliance
Google Tag Manager centralises all your tracking tags in one place — making it easy to add, edit, and audit tags without touching your site’s code. I set up GTM with proper consent mode integration via Complianz, so tags only fire when users have given the appropriate consent under GDPR. This setup protects you legally while still capturing as much conversion data as possible within the consent framework.

Conversion tracking FAQ
Common questions about analytics and tracking setup
Why isn't my Google Ads conversion tracking working?
Common causes include the conversion tag not firing on the correct page, a missing thank-you page redirect after form submission, GA4 goals not linked to Google Ads, or consent mode blocking the tag before consent is given. I audit all of these as part of a tracking review and fix the root cause rather than applying a workaround.
What is the Meta Conversions API and do I need it?
The Conversions API (CAPI) sends conversion data directly from your server to Meta, bypassing browser-based restrictions like iOS App Tracking Transparency and ad blockers. If you’re running Meta Ads, CAPI is now essentially required for accurate optimisation — without it, Meta may be missing 30–50% of your conversions. I implement CAPI via WordPress and Fluent Forms on the server side.
Is my current tracking GDPR compliant?
Most tracking setups I audit are not fully compliant. Common issues include Google Analytics firing before consent is given, Facebook Pixel loading without opt-in, and GTM tags that ignore consent signals. I implement Complianz as the consent management platform and configure GTM’s consent mode so all tags respect user choices correctly.
Can you audit an existing tracking setup?
Yes — tracking audits are one of the most common requests I receive. I’ll check all your tags via GTM or direct implementation, test conversion events, verify data is flowing correctly into GA4 and your ad platforms, and identify any missing events or GDPR compliance issues.
Do I need Google Tag Manager if I already have plugins?
Plugins like MonsterInsights or PixelYourSite can cover basic tracking needs, but they often lack the flexibility to track custom events, create complex triggers, or implement consent mode correctly. GTM gives you full control without requiring a developer every time you want to add or modify a tag. I recommend GTM for any site running paid advertising.
